cedar tonka bean musk Elise Benat was born and raised in the Mediterranean, South of France. She still remembers with admiration the aromas of maquis, myrtle and salt. As a teenager, Elise Benat traveled to exotic corners of the planet and this was to later impact on her future work and lead to the creation of the most delicate and surprising aromas. When she attended her first smell training course, while studying chemistry, it was a real eye-opener for her. From that moment, the determined young lady firmly decided on her future. Her dream came true when she joined the Firmenich team. Elise Benat likes reading. She also finds inspiration in art. She enjoys the emotions she get when she succeeds in translating words into aromas. Cashmere wool combines softness, durability and the wonderful ability to suit any person making him or her look more sophisticated. Cashmere clothes and accessories as well as interior decoration items look elegant and refined. One feels instantly drawn to it and longs to touch it. Perfumers could not help but be inspired by the special features of this fabric. The French perfumer Karine Vinchon created such a theme-based fragrance for the M.INT brand. The author associates cashmere wool with oriental and floral notes accorded masterfully in a bottle of perfume for women “Cashmere Beige”. This wonderful fragrance starts unfolding with a sparkling citrus accord in which the notes of bergamot, lemon and mandarin are combined and harmonised by the H2O molecule. The water accent distracts us from the initial fruity sweetness making the top notes fresh and cosy. In the heart of “Cashmere Beige” citrus notes melt into charming white flowers, delicious and slightly cold violet and iris - the symbol of elegance. There are not many notes in the middle floral accord, but each one of them is very individual and complex and resonates perfectly with the rest. When the heart of this perfume opens on your skin, the femininity of the wearer envelopes everyone around her. The base accord of “Cashmere beige” features a calm cedar note, sweet and slightly smoky tonka beans and a flowing tender musky fragrance. “Cashmere Beige” is a very romantic perfume. It is warm but is not perceived as thick or sticky. The citrus sweetness of its top accord melts into its floral heart and lingers until the heaviness of the final smoked-wood accord takes over. The perfume has a calm and cosy character. It is associated with warmth, care and timeless femininity. The perfume is most suitable for daytime use complementing business and casual clothing styles. It is suitable for any season and dissolves nicely as it evaporates leaving no annoyingly persistent notes. Perfumer: Karine Vinchon-Spehner As a young girl, Karine Vinchon Spehner got her first feelings of flavors at the Jeannette bakery, owned by her grandfather. She enjoyed the smell of hot cakes. She later became interested in the influence of perfume on individuals. Karine was a student at ISIPCA (International Institute of perfume, cosmetics and aromatic substances) from 2002 to 2004, while she was collaborating with the Robertet Group in Grassé, where she used their best natural ingredients with pleasure. She started her career under master perfumer Michel Almairac. Karine likes to work with wood and amber notes and with the characteristic smell of natural ingredients such as Pachouli and Vetiver. Usually, she her creativity is driven by emotions. As a young girl, Karine Vinchon Spehner got her first feelings of flavors at the Jeannette bakery, owned by her grandfather.
