leather amber moss Elise Benat was born and raised in the Mediterranean, South of France. She still remembers with admiration the aromas of maquis, myrtle and salt. As a teenager, Elise Benat traveled to exotic corners of the planet and this was to later impact on her future work and lead to the creation of the most delicate and surprising aromas. When she attended her first smell training course, while studying chemistry, it was a real eye-opener for her. From that moment, the determined young lady firmly decided on her future. Her dream came true when she joined the Firmenich team. Elise Benat likes reading. She also finds inspiration in art. She enjoys the emotions she get when she succeeds in translating words into aromas. Movies are not the only thing to experience in a 3D-format. Special perfume compositions created by the French "nose" Philippine Courtiere also have the power to stimulate your imagination. They can be perceived as multidimensional, vivid and vibrant, much more so than the classic fragrances. “3-D SCENT” is an exclusively masculine woody-chypre fragrance that hints at its wearer’s inner passionate nature despite his strict appearance. It suggests commitment and seriousness, yet surprising spontaneity of expression when it comes to creativity. The perfume is slightly sour, not explicitly warm, that is why it preserves its energy and vigour. The main tonality of the composition is that of freshly cut aspen with its light scent which does not become heavy or resinous. The top accord consists of spicy elemi resin merged with the sharp note of juniper berries and pepper, which slightly warms up the whole accord. While gradually dissolving in the air, the top notes give way to a mix of pine needles and sensual patchouli notes. Delicate, calm and stylish cedar wood softens the intense coniferous component. The base of the ”3-D SCENT” pyramid features a note of high-quality leather and a somewhat dry earthy scent of moss. The base notes also include refined amber, which does not allow the resinous notes to become too rough to eclipse the rest of the fragrant modulations. The “3-D SCENT” wearer is an active person able to find innovation even in classics. His desire for creativity and rigidly logical thinking form a magic mixture. He is able to switch quickly between different tasks. The bouquet is discreet, moderately tenacious and consists of imperceptible nuances distinguishing it from similar woody-chypre perfume compositions.
Perfumer: Philippine Courtiere Philippine is passionate about her work. She feels boring whenever there isn’t any challenge to deal with. She trained as a legal adviser when her internship at the perfume house changed the course of her life. She has never been able to clearly explain what led to this change, but it was definitely a defining moment. Her parents worked in the perfume industry and Philippine was always interested in their creations. So the turning point wasn’t accidental, but, of course, unexpected. Philippine also has close ties with the fashion world. Her grandfather, Jaques Rouet, assisted in the opening of the House of Dior. Philippine was his first grandchild and he took her along with him to everywhere. He transferred to her his tendency to superstition, but also his experience, perseverance, energetic character and a solid sense of self-confidence. He taught Philippine that "will power and hard work will allow anyone to achieve all his dreams." Philippine is passionate about her work.
