Elise Benat was born and raised in the Mediterranean, South of France. She still remembers with admiration the aromas of maquis, myrtle and salt. As a teenager, Elise Benat traveled to exotic corners of the planet and this was to later impact on her future work and lead to the creation of the most delicate and surprising aromas.
    When she attended her first smell training course, while studying chemistry, it was a real eye-opener for her. From that moment, the determined young lady firmly decided on her future. Her dream came true when she joined the Firmenich team. Elise Benat likes reading. She also finds inspiration in art. She enjoys the emotions she get when she succeeds in translating words into aromas.

“JOKING ASIDE” by Fabrice Pellegrin is a floral aldehyde composition for women who love a combination of sophisticated multi-layer compositions. Only the feminine and self-confident ladies can dare to wear this perfume. The composition sounds warming, discreet and classy and is known for its tenacity and sillage. Its trail features plenty of notes that enhance the wearer’s individuality. The main tonality of the composition is musk. Its scent can be distinctly perceived until the fragrance evaporates completely.

The top accord consists of hot and spicy coriander seeds, a charming freesia note and the attractive scent of the Egyptian jasmine infusion. The heart of the composition strikes with its beauty. It opens with the seductively sweet smell of Arabian jasmine, a majestic Bulgarian rose note and orange flower petals, complementing the first two components. Power and tenderness are perceived as one in the perfume’s trail. The author composed it of sweet and smoky tonka beans, a dry, milky note of sandalwood, weightless vanilla and a very distinctive scent of musk. “JOKING ASIDE” may be worn all day long. The scent lingers on the skin for a long time, leaving behind a multi-layer, sophisticated trail. This composition wears especially well in the off-season as well as in moderately hot summer periods.
